The cool waters of the Pacific mixed with the endless sunshine, makes it great for both beachgoers and surfers. The dress code around town is really casual, with bikinis, sandals and wetsuits being the norm.

The city offers numerous types of homes so as to suit any income type and has a tremendous education system. The city ensures that all of its amenities, like several parks and boat marinas, are well-kept and kept clean.

Technology and Tourism are the two main businesses within Huntington Beach. Situated in the city, there are more than 650 industrial businesses currently. Some of the bigger names that have opted Huntington Beach as home are C & D Aerospace, Boeing, Quicksilver and Cambro manufacturing. There is an assortment of work existing within the city.

Within the city, Boeing is one of the biggest businesses. The facilities sit on the previous site which was utilized to serve the Appollo program. From that time, there are still some interesting building still being used including the S-IVB upper stage for the Saturn IB and Saturn V rockets. The city itself is located above a natural salt dome. Inside this salt dome was a reservoir of oil, but over the years it has depleted significantly. Currently, oil production counts for a considerable portion of the local revenue. There are a total of two offshore extraction facilities left, but it will not be long before tourism has to become the primary revenue source for the city.
